Am I still a virgin if I had anal sex?

The most common definition of a virgin is one who has never engaged in sexual intercourse. In this regard, though you may be physically a virgin, you lost your spiritual virginity because of anal sex. Furthermore, we need to address what you reveal had transpired. What is lost in these sexual activities, anal sex or oral sex, or being sexually active before marriage, is a loss of chastity and purity. These sexual acts fall under the categories of lust and fornication. The Church teaches that anal sex and oral sex are unacceptable even for married couples. If this behavior continues, it may become habitual and the acceptable manner of intimacy between a man and a woman could be altered and affect a couples' enjoyment of sexuality as God intended. By repentance, you will regain your spiritual virginity.
