Am I still a virgin if I had anal sex?
If I lost my virginity at a young age, after I confess to my confession father, what will he make me do and will I be able to regain it? If so, will I be able to wear the virginity cloak for my wedding?
Modern American culture seems to perpetuate this idea that virginity in a man who is above a certain age is something that makes him defective, pathetic, and unmanly. Saving your virginity for marriage is more tolerated for women but having sex for the first time is made out to be a "rite of passage" for a man in America. Therefore, a man who has not had sex is often treated as being "less of a man." This has caused some men who are virgins to become very depressed because they think their virginity makes them hated by women. I have heard some women say they dislike virgins because they say their virginity shows that there must be something wrong with or unlikable about them if no woman has had sex with them or even that they must hate women because of it. How should we as Christians help these people and respond to this situation from the world? Can we say that virginity is a manly quality for men? Our Lord was a virgin His whole life and He is our model for being a man, but can this also apply to those who choose to marry?
My fiancé confessed to me that a long time ago he lost his virginity. He regrets it, and has confessed and repented. I know he loves the Lord and I told him I still love him. Should I ask him if he has ever been tested for HIV or other STDs (sexually transmitted diseases)? If he hasn’t, should I ask him to get tested now? I do not want to hurt him.
The Holy Book of Deuteronomy 22:13-30 talks about laws of sexual morality and evidence of virginity, could you please comment on their practices?
What is the Church's stand on a woman who loses her virginity due to other factors other than being with a man, for example, masturbation, medical examinations, incorrectly inserting a tampon, etc.? While some reasons are a sin, others are no fault of her own. Does that mean she cannot get married within the Church? Does she have to let her future husband know beforehand?
